This guitar was an impulse buy. I walked into the Silver Lake Guitars shop, saw this guitar
hanging on the wall and was immediately drawn to it. It looked similar to my 1971 Tele except my '71
is a refinish and this was the real thing. I plugged it into some old Fender tweed amp and played it
for about 15 minutes before I decided that I wanted it. Having just gotten back from an east coast
Kix run the money was no issue so I bought it on the spot. By the next day reality had sunk in and
realized I didn't need another Telecaster and I tried returning it, but the shop had a no return
policy and the shop owner had already spent the money. So this one's for sale. It's got a dark dense
deep grain wood for the body. It's really heavy. As you can tell by the pictures it's pretty beat
up. It could use a good set up and a new nut, the low E string buzzes. Other than that it appears to
be completely original.
