I recently caught you playing with Rhino Bucket at Maxwell's in
Hoboken, NJ. I saw you playing what appeared to be a '72
Tele. I loved your tone. What kind of pickups do you have in
the Tele? Are they Joe Barden?

You guessed it! Those are Joe Barden Pickups in my Tele. The Tele though is a '71... you were close. I'm normally not big on replacement pickups but when I bought that Tele the pickups had already been replaced with Seymour Duncans which sounded like crap. I initially replaced them with stock Fenders but installed them without a schematic so they weren't wired right and never sounded right. After going to see Danny Gatton play one night in DC I was inspired to buy a set of Joe Barden Pickups which come with a schematic. So I stuck them in, wired them correctly and... well you heard'em!
